This is my journey. I have been working in Shanghai for 6 years as a professional designer. I have much passion for design. Now I pursue further study in WSA. Starting with the Project 0, I plan to try different styles to express my story, so I changed some of the product technologies I used before.
Dream
When I was young, I always had a dream. I hope to study at an overseas university. After I graduated from university, I gave up my dream because I was afraid of learning english and lacked the courage to face challenges. After a few years of work, I gradually matured. I think that everyone only lives once, about the dream, if you don't achive it now, then it will never be achived in the future. So I recorded the background, ideas, and motivations on the paper, and they brought me some inspiration.
Concept
I divided my experience into several stages and simply drew some sketches. I have been working in Shanghai before, and I have designed many brands. Till one day I want to change. I picked up my passport and bought an air ticket, that took a Russian Airlines flight to London, finally I arrived at Southampton. When I received the student card, I felt that I was reborn. I want to describe in a creative way with these experiences.
Sketch
I drew details of all the ideas on the sketchbook and described them in a dramatic way. For example, London is a city of history, and I think that London grew out from books. Everyone loves the British football game, so I imagined my student card as a football field and I played football on it. After experiencing these interesting stories, I finally reached the WSA, so I asked myself, “You achieved your dreams, are you ready for future studies?” Finally, I named the outcome as Half Dream&Half Life.
